I just read Prunella's blog that she hates people who says bad things about Singapore. But seriously, I got the feeling that Singapore hates me.

The first incident was in Shanghai Pudong International Airport. Our flight, SQ805 was at gate 15 which is just directly in front of the custom. But Singapore Airlines' lounge is at gate 22 - 25, which requires a 10 minutes walk! Damn it! 20 minutes wasted, which could actually be spent in the lounge instead. The Singapore Air manager at Shanghai should be sacked for being so stupid. Well, according to Serene's father, this has been happening for the past year or yearS. I mean, how stupid can the manager be? Put a lounge at the other end of the airport. Gate 15, according to the map, is near the other end of the airport. In other words, I'm walking across the whole terminal.

Secondly, this is an incident which is totally not related but, well, Singapore Airlines hates me. The seat I was sitting in, has no power. No reading lights, no entertainment system NOTHING. The SQ girls gave me a USD$50 inflight shopping voucher though as compensation. Loved it. Better than the entertainment system! Gave it to Serene to buy her makeup set.

Thirdly, when I arrived back in Singapore, I was VERY disappointed. ONLY ONE COUNTER OPENED FOR SINGAPORE PASSPORT HOLDERS?!!?!?!?!?!??!! With 2 stupid electronic system which ALSO has a long queue.

This is farking dumb. No wonder Singapore gets the award every year, because they treat foreigners better! I'm not saying that foreigners shouldn't be treated well, but at the expense of US, SINGAPORE PASSPORT HOLDERS? Out of 10 counters, 9 are for foreigners. Seriously, WTF? Don't we Singapore passport holders have any privilege at OUR OWN AIRPORT?

[NOTE: Though it's ALL PASSPORT for the 9 counters, i'm talking about privileges... the waiting time...] 

Serene's father complained, guess what they said?

"We want Singaporeans to learn to use the electronic system." 

Yeah yeah yeah, definitely. Those foreigners must be laughing. In Shanghai and Japan, there are many counters for local passport holders.
