Florists have already started to double the prices of flowers on Valentines day. Being foolish, I thought that by ordering a bouquet of flowers now for Valentines, I'll be able to escape the hole in my pocket. Apparently not. A bouquet of a flowers on a normal day cost SGD$59. But the same thing that is to be delivered on the 13th rocketed to SGD$104. I thought other florists wouldn't do the same to me. NO! They declined my order, saying they don't accept orders that are to be delivered on the __th to __th of Feb. I forgotten the date. |
After living in this house for 16 over years, it's time for us to move out to a condo at Bishan… temporarily
It's under going an extreme makeover soon! The architect just came just now for about an hour discussing the plans, showing us his drawings of the house etc and we were giving our honest opinions (since we paid him) on what we want and how we want it.
There will be a few modifications to my house, naming a few:
- The slope will be flattened, thus there can be more cars parking in the house (for visitors, CNY etc).
- Without the slope, the building can be brought forward thus doubling the house size.
- The house will be 3 stories high.
- Will be separated from my neighbour (semi-d house).
- The sides, and back will be gone, making the building bigger.
- There will be a "L" shaped pond probably about 1.5m deep filled with kois, fountains and whatever.
- Outdoor dining area facing the pond.
- Living room, family room and the outdoor dining area will be facing the pond.
- There will be a guest room downstairs for my parents when they age (can't climb stairs).
- Patio sort of thing.
- BBQ pit on the 3rd level.
- Recreation room (for mahjong, pool, table tennis etc).
- Exercising room (gym equipment).
- Master bed room will overlook the family room.
That's all I can remember for now. Hahaha.
The construction period will take about maximum, 8 months. Till then, I'll be at Bishan.
