UPDATE: Completed the test at 4:25PM. Here's my result (for MOODGYM):

RESULTS FOR THE DEPRESSION TEST

In the LOW RANGE.

You have few symptoms of depression. MoodGYM might give you some clues as to why you cope well, how emotions develop, and how greater resilience might be achieved. It might give you insights into the feelings of others who are more likely not to cope well.

RESULTS FOR THE ANXIETY TEST

In the LOW RANGE.

You have few symptoms of anxiety. You may be feeling confident at the moment. Stay here and learn why you have such coping strategies.

In the past, I had been trying to find some stupid cures for depression, not for myself but for others. Once I Googled it, tons of COMMERCIAL products started to appear in front of my eyes. That's why I hate Googling sometimes.

Well, lucky for those depressed. While Slashdotting today, I found this article. The news link is inside, so if you would like to read it, just click on it.

Here are 2 of the links to the net-based treatment for depression:

http://moodgym.anu.edu.au

http://www.bluepages.anu.edu.au/

You can try it, there's NO HARM. It's ABSOLUTELY FREE (however registration is needed). It will be good if you are cured of it.

At the first page of the quiz, you will be asked to view a few types of different 'virtual characters'. For example:

Meet NOPROBLEMOS, one of those people who are genuinely happy,
self fulfilled, loves life, is content. Maybe we are all a bit like NOPROBLEMOS sometimes.

Meet CYBERMAN, looks good on the outside, but seething wreck inside.
Maybe we are all a bit like CYBERMAN sometimes.

Meet ELLE who is gorgeous looking, talented, good at work, attractive to men
but feels like a fraud. Feels one day, people are going to find out that she really
is stupid, untalented, unintelligent, emotionally void, ugly etc. It is only a matter
of time. Maybe we are all a bit like ELLE sometimes.

JANE is positive, generous, but gets fazed in social situations
and is sensitive to criticism. Maybe we are all a bit like JANE sometimes.

Meet MOODY. He had a hard time at school because he felt shy (had bad acne for a start), has trouble approaching girls he likes, gets grumpy and angry with his friends.

He has disagreements over nothing, and sulks, flies off the handle occasionally with his parents, but basically is a nice guy. Works hard, is conscientious, is currently at Uni, studying Science (failed to get into Dentistry). Often feels alone in the world. Maybe we all feel a bit like MOODY sometimes.

Meet CREEPY ANGRY… Actually, on second thoughts, let’s not meet Creepy
Angry just yet. He really has problems. But then again, maybe we can all be like
CREEPY ANGRY sometimes.

Then, after the first page, you will be continually quized.

The good thing is that, each time I click on the virtual character, I'll be reminded of some people in my school. The last one is definitely Junbin.

Anyway, just give it a good. And comment on whether did it help you or not.

    wah cham. see my results:

    RESULTS FOR THE DEPRESSION TEST

In the MIDDLE TO HIGH RANGE

You have more depression symptoms than the average person your age. This may mean a number of things: that you will be likely to be more vulnerable to becoming upset or miserable by events that others do not react to; that something unfortunate has occurred in the last few weeks and you haven’t got over it, even though you normally cope very well; you have symptoms but they are not troubling you; you may have made mistakes in how you have answered the questions.

    RESULTS FOR THE ANXIETY TEST

In the MIDDLE to HIGH RANGE

You have more anxiety symptoms than the average person. You may be more upset by stressful events, by your own mistakes, you may be more timid, and then grumpy because of missed opportunities.
