Feels really good to have a very successful presentation isn’t it? That was what happened today for MBS presentation. MBS is Management Business Systems, which we learn in our Business Course so that we will know how to use the stupid database when it is needed when we go out to the working world.

So our job was to create tables, queries, forms, reports and switchboard. And I think we did exceptionally well. For our forms we had Calendar, OleObject etc. The calendar part was the one that stunned our tutor as it wasn’t in our textbook nor was it required. But we did it anyway.

So during presentation, I went to Google and it sort of stunned everyone, including my group mates. I searched "Inserting Calendar into Access", I did it because I know that by doing something that someone of our level won’t be able to do, the rest will think we cheated by asking a pro to help us.

So in order to brush off any possible suspicions I showed them how I did it, and it was done by using Google effectively.

In the end, the tutor said to us it was great, good and whatever, including the marks.

So well it was a good ending. Tough work for MBS project, but good ending never the less.

I’m in school’s library now using the school’s computer for my public speaking speech.

Update:

Public Speaking Presentation

Went for Public Speaking speech, was stunned it is actually being held in a lecture hall =.= Didn’t know have to present to the class, I thought it was a session whereby we just present to the tutor only.

Anyway luckily at the library (after posting this post) I realised we have to after checking. So I wrote some info down on cue cards and practiced a few times.

Managed to get it right. When I got there, Powerpoint slides are needed as well! Luckily I have them on my phone. So I BT-ed it to my friend’s laptop and then transferred it to my thumbdrive which I then transferred to the school’s com.

Yup, there are five slides only. That’s the maximum given to me.
