I got p1i
I got my P1i today, went to Mobilesquare and paid in cold hard cash, because I didn't want to pay the additional $14 Nets charges.
As a background information, I used UIQ 3 before on the M600, so for the learning curve and how easy/difficult is it to master the operating system will not be answered because, well, it's up to personal preference.
Initiatially, I got put off by the Symbian Operating System because I thought it isn't feature-packed like the Windows Mobile OS where, I can basically do anything, everything on it. But changed my mind after realising I don't need to do lots of stuff other than surfing, sms and call.
The build is small, slim and light. The keypad is easier to use than the M600 (less painful on my fingers), in fact, it's one of the best QWERTY I had ever used. Better than the HP 6515, Dopod 838pro and obviously the M600.
Camera is pretty sub-standard, as seen in the 2 previous post. The previous shot in Galare was taken in very bad lighting condition so I supposed it's not justified? Or is it.
The camera 3.2mp obviously loses out to the k800.
And after much whining about the phone lacking HSDPA, it still lacks HSDPA (3.5g) so there's nothing much to continue whining about.
Wireless B and G, not too much interested in it either.
Phone's loudspeaker is soft, as compared to the horrendously loud 838pro.
Overall this phone is worth the money spent, and i'm happy with it.
At PPCSG.com, it was said that Sony Ericsson will be teaming up with HTC to produce a SE phone with Windows Mobile Operating System, hopefully it turns out good.
AND I HATE THE CAMERA SOFTWARE, it's crappy.
