Final_Announcement.GIFThe message you see on the left is obviously a fake email notice from “MSN Accounts Coordinator”. In the first place will Microsoft need YOU to forward the program? Not to forget before ‘installing the program’, they will need to check whether or not is your XP legal. And when Microsoft thinks that you are using too much space, what do they do? They will obviously, block any new incoming mails with “This account has exceeded their storage limit” crap. Something which, if you are using Gmail, will never happen.

    Hi,

No. Hotmail (Microsoft) will never run out of disk storage space, they have tons of money in the world.

And recently they have just invested hundreds of millions to improve MSN service so as to compete with Google. Shut down Hotmail? Never.

I suppose to ‘blue thing’ you are referring to is BSOD?

hmmm I think Marina is talking about this email people are sending to each other because for some reason they cant tell what a junk email is!

    Hi All

Hey it is Andy and John the directors of MSN,
sorry for the interruptionbut MSN is closing down. this is because too
many inconsiderate people aretaking up all the names (eg.. making up lots ofdifferent accounts one person), we only have 578 names left. If you would like to close
your account, DO NOT SEND THIS MESSAGE ON. If you
would like to keep account, then SEND THIS MESSAGE TO EVERYONE ON YOUR
CONTACT LIST. This is no joke, we will be shutting down the servers. Send it
on. The use of msn and hotmail will cost money from summer 2006. If you send this message to 18
different people from your list your little icon will becomeblue and that will make it free for you. If you
dont believe me go onwww.msn.com) and see it yourself.
Dont foward this message copy paste it so people will actually read it

I got a similiar e-mail about a year ago, and nothing happened even if I didn’t forward it. Had it a real message, it would’ve come as the Hotmail Newsletter or something or something like that. Hotmail or MSN would never send out such and important message looking that unofficial.

Dear humans. Please do not believe such claims. It is obviously made by people who have nothing better to do, not even jacking off to porn. If you read the news article properly, you will read the line where it says “Microsoft stresses that the site’s core facilities including Hotmail will remain free.”. You will NOT be charged for your email account.

Look at it logically. If Hotmail charges you for your email account, people will inevitably move to Yahoo! or Gmail or something similar. That means a huge loss of customers for Hotmail. Now the details are much bothersome to explain, but dear business majors, I implore that you ponder upon the laws of supply and demand. If a ‘mere’ media student can understand such a concept while naked and half asleep with half a cup of milo in his hands, I do hope that you understand this as well.

Furthermore, please do look at it logically. Will the so called ‘directors’ of hotmail actually use a method like this to judge whether an email account will be closed? If you recieve any emails from Hotmail, it will be from ‘Hotmail Staff’ and nothing else.

I request that you forward this email on to everyone on your contact list, so that they are also informed about this stupidity. I am very sick of seeing these ‘Hotmail will close down’ rumours that it isn’t even funny anymore.

    Thank you, fellow mortals.

Haha. This is hilarious. I’ve seen like 10 or something versions of this letter. Don’t you think that’s a bit of a give away?
On one it’s Andy and John, on one it’s Tara and John, some have bits missing etc. And you’re right about it looking unofficial. And I can’t believe that so many people are buying it ^^ But I did freak a bit this morning when it said MSN was temporarily unavailable. . .Help??
