Cordyceps
Went out with Don for dinner after some shopping with my mum and sister. They were shopping for the upcoming wedding dinner that we have to attend. I bought a new pair of formal shoes, since my old pair were taken for use by my father (ha, we have the same feet size)… Got myself a pair of golf shoes as well, paying from my own pocket… which I saved from not buying the Tiger Woods 2009.
We went to this TCM (Tradition Chinese Medicine) shop, i’m not a fan of TCM, I have always been a devoted Western-treatment type of person since birth. Taking puffs like Ventolin when I have cough, despite not having asthma etc.
Don got a packet of drink, which was boiled for him there for $8. Yes, it looks brownish like coffee and apparently it’s supposed to cure cough and sore throat. But thinking since I just drank my cough syrup which was prescribed by my western doctor, it’s best not to take it due to complications.
So while he was drinking it, I looked into the shelf and saw something pretty stunning. $3200 for 1 tael (if I heard correctly), which is approximately 37.8 grams… worm looking thing. So I asked the lady, and the lady was kind enough to tell me it’s Cordyceps. Heard of it in China before, they were then selling the tablet pills to us.
This was the authentic (I hope) version of the cordyceps which is dried Vegetable Caterpillar.

It’s 23 sept 2008, 205am. I’m still here. You’re in the toilet with mister a.
Happy hang over =)
