In the past, people used mainly house phones to communicate with one another. However now, the term ‘house phone’ seems weird to many teenagers. People feel awkward calling the house and say "Hello, may I speak to blah blah". How many still have their friends house number? For me, absolutely not! I don’t go around asking people for their house numbers even if they were to give it to me, I will reject it. BOCTAOE (but of course there are other exceptions) such as people who doesn’t have a handphone or something that is REALLY important and you couldn’t dismiss the fact that the person who you are going to call may drop his phone inside the toilet bowl. My family communicate through handphones - even if my mother is downstairs while I’m upstairs. No one bothers to scream out loud - the disadvantage of mobile phones, everyone becomes lazy.With communication improving, so does the internet. Pyra Labs created "Blogger", Google bought it over and turned blogging into a need. Then later on, tagboards started appearing all over the net. And now, RSS. Thus, Gary Ler shall not lag behind. I will have to implement all these changes into my personal life and website. I have a PocketPC phone which supports blackberry and all that crap. My site has RSS, and blogging by e-mail. Ah wait, before I continue… how does ‘blogging by e-mail’ work? It’s very simple actually.
Send an e-mail using my pocketpc phone to a certain e-mail address > WP mail plugin will receive it (cron) > post it online.
When you see a post that is categorised as ‘via PocketPC phone’, it means … (self-explanatory). Of course this feature have a few problems such as - WHAT IF A SPAMMER SPAMS THIS MAILBOX? Like that die la? Stylemywords.com will be filled with viagra ads blah blah. Hmm… well, possible. But then, this e-mail is kept so confidential that no one will ever find out. It consist of stupid letters (probably fsdFSdfsdfsdFSDFsdfsDFsdf@sfdfsdfsdsfsdfsdfs.com). Also, it will verify that it’s not a bot sending it, but a human. You will HAVE TO VERIFY it. Kind of troublesome, but fun.
