So our job was to create tables, queries, forms, reports and switchboard. And I think we did exceptionally well. For our forms we had Calendar, OleObject etc. The calendar part was the one that stunned our tutor as it wasn’t in our textbook nor was it required. But we did it anyway.

So during presentation, I went to Google and it sort of stunned everyone, including my groupmates. I searched “Inserting Calendar into Access”, I did it because I know that by doing something that someone of our level won’t be able to do, the rest will think we cheated by asking a pro to help us.

So in order to brush off any possible suspicions I showed them how I did it, and it was done by using Google effectively.

In the end, the tutor said to us it was great, good and whatever, including the marks.

So well it was a good ending. Tough work for MBS project, but good ending never the less.

I’m in school’s library now using the school’s computer for my public speaking speech.

Out of desperation I backed up the entire contact list on to my memory card and hopefully, retrieve it using my family’s other Sony Ericsson phone by restoring the backed-up contact list. But when I got my new phone, turned on GPRS, setup the exchange email,  I got a shock that, my contact list, calendar and even tasks were all in place. Everything was just as if my phone had a memory.

How silly of me to actually forget the main feature of a mobile exchange mail, to sync information over the web to your home PC and server. All along I had only been using it for my pushmail use only, but not anymore.

I’m making use of the Calendar feature, even though it’s not really of any use to me.

Submitted MBS yesterday morning, woke up at 6+ am just to arrive in school at 8:20am to make sure everything works correctly. How tiring. And today I had to wake up at 7am again to make it to school for Business Finance.

After Business Finance was a 5 hours break! Was in the library doing my Human Resource Management and seriously buried in books. But at least i’m glad my peer-teachings-notes are already done :D!

Then went to Bistro (or Biztro) Walk for a cup of Root Beer float and fries with Simon & Ben and then proceeded to Leadership to submit my leadership project. Lessons till 6pm and caught the bus home.

Now left with MBS presentation, Leadership presentation & HRM submission + presentation.

Heath Ledge and everyone else was perfect. Joker was portrayed exactly the way it should be and it showed the psycho side of Joker. Really amazing acting.

I won’t spoil the story for you but there are 2 villains in it ;). The last one appearing right at the end. I paid $10.50 (because I booked in advance) and I think it’s worth every single cent.

Chris Nolan has created one of the best sequels :).

There should be a ‘simple Chinese/Mandarin wikipedia page for me.

My blog is now running on Wordpress 2.6.

MBS is almost done, all i’m left with is the switchboard. Initially we thought that we were wrong blah blah blah but in the end, after consulting another tutor we realised that, all that is required are the basic stuff. We heard and apparently assumed the wrong stuff from our tutor.

So now pretty happy with our progress :D!

Met up with Don & Eugene at Laguna today, got my birthday present from them (thanks) and we went to lunch at “The Vineyard”. A very quiet, and I mean very quiet as we were the only ones dining in there.

We sat at the table facing the golf course and it’s a nice place to have a buffet at.

It’s a brunch buffet. We didn’t eat a lot but it was satisfying enough. Food was only average though. Not really much to eat.

After that we went out of the club to buy some stuff and then return again and went to “Crooked Stick” for Karaoke session (2 hours) and then sat at the bar again until around 8+ where we went to Bedok’s Simpang and ate my Maggi Goreng.

After that, took a cab home. A good day. Just that tomorrow is Monday… !!

Went for Business Finance test this morning, wasn’t too satisfied with it.

After that met up with Edric and Shaun, took 518 down to Suntec and then met up with Timothy. Went to Yoshinoya for lunch and then proceeded on to watch “Red Cliff”, it is a nice show overall but it has part 2. Just like Pirates of the Caribbean. Imagine the exciting part comes then… the message “To be Continued” comes out.

After the movie slacked around and went to “My Secret Garden” (above 2 pics) for dinner. With Roy & Prunella as well. Then went to O-Bar for some drinks and had a really great time playing ‘in-between’, on $8 from Timothy!

Going out for buffet tomorrow with Don & Eugene. Better sleep early.

Went to dinner at Hog’s Breath with family, ate my megacut natural prime ribs (33% more meat) with a glass of beer and got a free mud pie from Hog’s Breath because it’s my birthday. How nice of them.

Turning 18 in just half-an-hour. Business Finance test in 10 hours 30 minutes time.

I received “The Economist” thumbdrive via post a few days ago and i’m pretty amazed at its size. It’s so small and cute. Even though the tiny little USB port connector isn’t new, it still looks damn cool. I love this thumbdrive!

Went with Simon & Wei Qiang to Executive Golf Course at Mandai there.

When you are new, you curse and swear at those people chasing you from behind. The excuse you give for playing slowly is that golf is a relaxing sport, why rush?

But as you become better, you start to curse those in front of you for playing slowly and get really impatient.

On a par 3 hole, I tee-ed off with my 5 wood and it was supposed to fade from left to right. But didn’t work out so well and it flew into the other course’s green. Simon shouted “FORE!” to the other side and the girl looks kind of stunned.

The tee-box was uphill and the trees were short. Not a good course for teeing off with a wood, seriously.

Anyway the 3 of us were playing, until about the 3rd hole when there was this French guy (who was playing behind us) asked if he could join our flight (since we have 3 only). We agreed and soon he was playing with us.

Simon told me he’s a pilot as there is a tag on his bag reading “Property of Air France.” Perhaps Air France leaves a feel golf sets in the hotel and any pilot who wants to play golf can just take it.

I scored a par, or maybe 2 pars in the game. The rest were bogey, double bogey and triple bogey. On the last hole, 2 balls fell short… really wasted. It was tough to control the power and it went into the hazard.

Then after the same we sat down for a drink, with the French guy and asked him what was he doing in Singapore. He was reluctant to disclose that he’s a pilot. First, he said that he was here on Business. Then we asked him what Business, he said Airline Business. Which is true, since it’s just a job. Then as we talk further on, he mentioned that the 777 is a good plane.

Just 50 minutes later I was awake preparing my journey to Tenah Merah Ferry Terminal.

Took the ferry there for 30 minutes, I slept throughout the journey.

After arriving it was chipping and putting practice/training session.

Then we took the buggy for a ride around the course to familiarise ourselves with the course rules and other things.

Then… the best time came. Playing the course on our own. We played a total of 18 holes whole the other group only played 9. Well, because we were faster and we overtook them by a lot.

One of the last few holes, by the beach… very scenic, I love.

The damn green that caused me by bogey. I didn’t count the first 9 holes because they were utterly disastrous. I mean, it’s my first time playing on the course. Hazard here and there lost many balls.

However I did count the second course (9 holes) and I scored a +15. Not so bad for a beginner! It’s called beginner’s luck.

Anyway I met 3 pilots there plus a guy who opens a crab restaurant. I sat with this pilot called Billy in the ferry and we talked a lot about education and stuff like this. Got quite a few things into my head by his preaching. He’s the pilot of the A380. The other pilots are for 777.

Arrived in Singapore approximately 8:30pm and am back home now, doing projects. Back to reality… back to reality…

Back from jogging, found this on the table. Though terribly sweet, I still love it.

Felt really terrible when I got back my MBS which I got 38/50. Seems pretty good, but not so good when you have not achieved a single A in your entire Term-Test and this is your last paper which you will be getting back. And to make it worse, it’s just a mere 2 marks away from my A!

Anyway I just put on 1 kg and I know how it happened. From my snacking’s at night and eating economical meehoon every night for supper. It’s all the supper’s fault!

Therefore to try to make me feel less guilty I’m going to shed off that 1kg, or maybe 2kg. And to start off, I’m going jogging now.

There is another putting green up for practice in front. Together with a bunker.

I have killed like many chickens and ducks for the past days and feeling a little guilty and unhealthy for eating too much meat. So I will turn vegeterian, probably just for a day :O! And I just ate KFC for dinner.

I followed my brother, sister and her friend to Laguna today. They went for tennis, while I, alone, went for golf at the range. It was a beautiful evening, sun shining down on me… very enjoyable. The place was quiet, not the usual crowded cigarette-filled Bishan Range that I always go to.

My first encounter of the place was… freaking nice mats! It was very very nice, it was thick as though it was new. Unlike the Bishan range where it is so rotten you don’t see green, you see grey or black.

The way the balls are dispensed as well is also much easier than Bishan’s. In Bishan, if I’m buying 150 balls, I have to insert my card 3 times to dispense it, as 50 balls are dispensed at one time. It’s very troublesome and takes a long time.

In Laguna, no insertion is needed, just tap the card on the scanner. They have 3 different ball dispensing amount. My favourite is of course, the 120 balls button. All I need to do is to press it once. How easy!

Also, for members, it’s pretty cheap. $9.60 for 240 balls Enjoying much!

Anyway, if you are interested in my results, I haven’t go back anything yet other than HRM (Human Resource Management) which I got a 29.5/40 … just a “B”… sigh.

I just dragged the notepad from my sidebar widget into the desktop. I got a fear of forgetting things already after I felt like a retard to actually forget to bring the proposal essay for submission. It’s not graded actually, but it was totally irresponsible of me. The proposal submission is like a brief outline on what you are going to do and the tutor will tell you whether you are right or wrong.

Been two days since school reopened and so far, so good. Just that i’m feeling rather tired and sad that I do not have any radio in my room! Now, for music, I actually sleep with my laptop on. Time to get a radio [Insert coughs].

Was writing my speech just now and I can’t believe I had:

Yeah, 8 drafts. Draft 1 to 3 were written pretty long ago, on the 11th and 13th about the Sichuan Earthquake. Then decided to change my topic on the 22nd and wrote the rest of the drafts until now. Quite a major change I would say, but hopefully it is good. And also, draft 4 is missing because I missed it out when I was saving the fourth draft. Instead I keyed in “5″.

Which means that, since my birthday falls on a Saturday it WAS supposed to be good. I do not have school on Friday so supposedly, I was able to hang out the entire day and stay out late at night, and then do it again on Saturday night, right? NO. I got a test on Saturday morning.

Still wondering how to spend my birthday. Something exotic or the norm.

Finished reading Newsweek yesterday, while I went to school for MBS project. Spent 3 hours doing it and pretty satisfied we got 1/5 of it done. Went to eat Dory Fillet as my snack and then went home, for dinner again.

Received “The Economist” and “TIME” magazine in my mailbox today, so I guess i’m going to start reading again since school starts next week.

Went for golf today, terrible. Didn’t like it, the mat was bad. Skills were bad. Dang. Going to keep on practicing and then lesson again on Sunday.

After the movie made our way down to Novena and ate Japanese food, Edric’s treat, thanks Edric! Then Prunella went home. We then… went… to… make a guess.

Went for my first golf lesson today, my coach then corrected my swing. The swing plane and all that, but since I have got the fundamentals of making the ball fly, correcting the swing just made the job easier.

It wasn’t a start-all-over-again thing. The bad habits were a little tough to kick but over the 1 hour of repeated coaching and practicing, I kind of got the hang of it.

Putting, pitching, chipping and all that will apparently be done in Batam. Meet at 7am with a group of his students (he mentioned he has a lot of 18 years old students), go to the course, probably teach for 1 or 2 hours then off we go to whack the balls on our own in the course. There are 2 ferries, 6:30pm and 8:30pm, most people would take the 8:30pm so that they can go for the $10 massage.

What I like about it is that, unlike my previous coach which everything is done at the range, the course experience is something unique and is really what I learn golf for. Not for the PC, not for the handicap, but to sink the ball into the hole. And nothing beats have a course experience.

The above information were said by him today, I have yet to experienced it so I won’t know. But anyway it will be done on a Monday or Tuesday only and unless I can push my lecture to other days, I won’t be able to make it. Probably just do it in SG then (but then again Monday is only Business Finance lecture).

Seriously I feel like whacking a few balls now, but it’s MBS time later on in the day at 1pm. Time to sleep, and then death tomorrow. I hate MBS.

Went for golf with Simon, first 100 balls were average. Figured out my swing and the 100th to 200th balls were with 70% consistency. And from 200th to 300th it was like almost 100% consistency and great shots. Consistency in this case means airborne balls going 100 - 150metres, and straight. Love it. Looking forward to my Wednesday’s lesson and the wood which my brother is going to buy.

Tomorrow’s Edric birthday and we will be meeting up, to celebrate. Other than that, I am hungry now.
